Description

What makes a Japanese whisky worthy of the samurai warrior spirit it’s named after?

The Nobushi Japanese Blended Whisky draws its strength from four distinct Japanese regions – Miyagi, Nagano, Hokkaido, and the renowned Kiyokawa distillery. This multi-regional blend represents the diversity of Japan’s whisky landscape, combining carefully selected malts and grains that have been aged 3-4 years in American oak casks. Unlike single-region expressions such as our Togouchi Premium Japanese blend, Nobushi showcases the harmonious marriage of different terroirs in one bottle.

**Technical Specifications:**
Origin: Multi-regional Japanese blend from Miyagi, Nagano, Hokkaido, and Kiyokawa
ABV: 40% – perfectly balanced for both neat sipping and mixing
Volume: 750ml
Maturation: American oak casks, 3-4 years aging
Color: Rich golden-amber
Tasting Notes: Nose reveals caramel sweetness with cinnamon spice and summery pears. The palate delivers fruity orange and grape notes with vanilla undertones and light smoke. Finish is long and spicy with peppery wood spice and buttery caramel
Best Served: Neat at room temperature or on the rocks in a Glencairn glass

Our team at Mr. Chow’s Liquor Store has found this expression particularly approachable for newcomers to Japanese whisky while maintaining enough complexity to satisfy experienced drinkers. The velvet texture and balanced profile make it surprisingly versatile compared to more intense options like our Big Peat Islay blend.

Ideal for: Whisky beginners seeking authentic Japanese craftsmanship and gift-giving occasions. Pairs with: Grilled teriyaki dishes, tempura, and even Malaysian char siu with its sweet-spicy profile. Recommended for: Those exploring Japanese whisky before investing in premium single malts like our aged Benromach expressions.
