The Pulteney Distillery is a single malt whisky producer and aging facility in Pulteneytown area of Wick, Caithness, in the Highland area of Scotland. Based in Wick on the North Sea shore, the distillery is most known for its maritime single malt whiskies. Pulteney has expanded its core range over recent years, and now stretches from the no-age-statement Huddart, named after the street on which the distillery is situated, to the yearly releases of its acclaimed 25 Year Old.

Matured wholly in air-dried, hand-selected ex-bourbon casks, the ‘unashamedly excellent’ Old Pulteney 12-years-old is the definitive expression in the Old Pulteney family.

Traditionally crafted using techniques that other distillers have long abandoned, this winner of numerous gold medals at the most prestigious international competitions is a high water-mark of quality spirits. Bottled at the standard 40% ABV.

TO THE EYE

Deep amber, red golden (with a slight pink hue) sparkling with a copper glow.Floral, citrus, apple, honeydew melon, caramel, and oak.

TO THE NOSE

Medium to high intensity with a briny hint of sea air.

TO THE PALATE

Dry, medium bodied and smooth, redolent of honey and cream, faintly salty with a slight spicy note and a sweet long-lasting finish.

TO THE END

Toffee, brine, and lemon.
