Description
This single malt has been matured for a minimum of 25 years using a combination of four cask types: ex-bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks, ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, and ex-Madeira wine casks.
After each cask type imparts its distinct flavour profile, the whiskies are skillfully blended by the BenRiach Master Blender to create a beautifully balanced and multi-dimensional malt.
The resulting whisky is layered with flavours of baked fruit, honey malt, and toasted oak spice, culminating in a long, rich, and smoky finish with a perfectly harmonious flavour profile.
TO THE NOSE:
Cherry ripe bars deep fried, with toasted hazelnut, creamy toffee and smoked dried orchard fruits.
TO THE PALATE:
Baked orchard fruits, compote of orange citrus, earthy cinnamon, smoked caramel and toasted oak.
TO THE END:
Long with dried apricots and ripe peaches.
